After starting construction on a 1,235 acre coastal golf course on rural land in Scotland that will feature two golf courses, 950 houses and a luxury hotel, Trump is now complaining that the Scottish Minister is “hell-bent on destroying Scotland’s coastline” with offshore wind projects.
Last summer, Trump vowed to fight an 11-turbine offshore wind project proposed for waters 1.5 miles away from his sprawling complex where bulldozers have been ripping up untouched grasses and flattening coastal sand dunes to make way for an artificial golf course.

Happily BLUE in Ohio

The irony in the title of this article indicates what an absolutely ignorant idiot Donald Trump really is. 'Nuff said...

Hilarious! I had no idea why Trump was going on about Scotland ruining the coast.

Now, all the sudden Trump in an environmentalist?! I'm sure it's a total coincidence that the wind farms are next to his golf course :)

Whatever happened to unrestricted free enterprise, Donald???

Talk about ruining the landscape? I think any Trump presence--personal or otherwise--would be the most grevious offense!

"As a matter of fact, I have just authorised my staff to allocate a substantial amount of money to launch an international campaign to fight your plan to surround Scotland's coast with many thousands of wind turbines."

Rich republicans are dicks. I guess he thinks he owns @!$%#ing Scotland now. They will put a factory in a poor neighborhood, fight tooth and nail to be able to pollute the water and air int he neighborhood, but act like it is the end of the world when someone puts an artificial but non polluting structure in view of one of their windows.

It's one of the problems with the right, world wide, they took the me generation too seriously. The entire solar system revolves around them and no one else matters at all... well until THEY need them but it is always an exception when a republican uses a safety net, or has a teen daughter that gets pregnant or cheats on their wives.

As an opponent of the US grand destructive plans for industrialized development of wind mills on productive fishing bottom, which, by the way, is a food source, I must hand it to the Scots.

They have the intelligence to construct them in ares that will not encroach on their fishing grounds.

If our government had that realistic approach, there would be wide support.

The reason our government has decided to take the out of sight, out of mind approach they have is the avoiding the fall out of people like Trump.
